Our Community

You are not alone in this fight. Our community is a space for parents, supporters, and anyone impacted by Scotland's family justice system and post-separation abuse. Whether you want to share your story to help us drive change at Holyrood or connect with others through our regional peer support groups, you can find all our safe spaces and forms below.

Why We Are Gathering Evidence

Your voice is vital to driving real reform in Scotland. A system cannot change until the people who have experienced it speak up and shine a light on its flaws.

To take our case directly to Holyrood and persuade lawmakers of the urgent need for change, we need to capture a broad spectrum of experiences from family court stakeholders across the country.

Whether you are navigating the family court system, supporting a loved one, or dealing with post-separation abuse and systemic barriers entirely outside the courtroom, we want to hear from you.

All submissions are handled with strict safety and confidentiality.

For Parents in Court...

Navigating Scotland's family court system can feel like an isolating and overwhelming uphill battle. If you are a parent currently going through court proceedings—or trying to pick up the pieces after a final order—your direct experience of the legal process, delays, and systemic hurdles is crucial.

By sharing your story, you help us expose what is truly happening behind closed doors and build an undeniable case for reform at Holyrood. Please share your family court experience safely and confidentially with us below.

For Supporters and Family...

The impact of Scotland's family courts reaches far beyond the courtroom walls. As a step-parent, grandparent, family member, or friend, you carry the weight of the endless waits, systemic delays, and heartbreak right alongside the parents.

To drive real reform, we need to capture how these decisions affect everyone in the child's wider circle of care. Share your experience with us below.

For Parents Outside the System...

Navigating post-separation abuse, high-conflict co-parenting, and administrative control entirely outside of a courtroom comes with its own unique set of hidden battles. Without the formal structure—or the validation—of a legal proceeding, many victim-survivors are left managing relentless intimidation, communication blockades, and coercive tactics in isolation, often while trying to shield their children from ongoing harm.

If you are dealing with these complex dynamics completely outwith the family court system, your experience is just as valid, and your challenges are just as real. We want to understand what life looks like outside the courtroom walls, so please share your journey with us below.

For Support and Community...

Healing and advocacy are deeply connected, and you don't have to navigate this journey alone. If you are a victim-survivor, parent, or supporter looking for a safe, confidential, and trauma-informed space to connect with others who truly understand, we are here for you. Register your interest in our upcoming regional peer support groups below to find community, solidarity, and a listening ear.
