Legal Notice

1. Purpose and Objects 

The purpose of SAFE Family Courts Scotland is to campaign for the reform of the Scottish family justice system. We achieve this by: 

Researching and documenting systemic failures. 

Advocating for legislative change. 

Providing a platform for families to share lived experiences to inform evidence-based policy. 

Communicating exclusively on matters of public interest regarding the operation of the courts. 

2. Governance and Structure 

Leadership: The organisation is led by its Founder, who holds final decision-making authority regarding campaign strategy, public statements, and lobbying efforts. 

The Advisory Committee: The Founder may appoint an Advisory Committee to provide strategic guidance, oversight, and operational support. 

Membership Tiers: 

Supporters: Individuals who have formally registered their support for our manifesto and mission. Supporters receive updates and contribute to the collective voice of the movement. 

Active Members: A core group of individuals who contribute to research, advocacy, and strategic planning. 

3. Transparency and Advocacy Standards 

We are committed to the highest standards of accuracy in all advocacy. We recognise that our work involves critique of public institutions. We commit to: 

Evidence-Based Advocacy: Ensuring all public statements, position papers, and communications are derived from verifiable, anonymised, or public-domain information. 

Responsible Communication: All official public communications are reviewed by the Founder to ensure they focus on systemic reform and institutional policy rather than individual conduct or specific, unverified litigation details. 

4. Terms of Participation 

By registering as a Supporter, individuals agree to support the mission of SAFE and adhere to the principle of constructive, evidence-based advocacy. All supporters consent to be part of the SAFE movement and acknowledge that their participation is intended to foster systemic reform. 

5. Financial and Data Integrity 

SAFE Family Courts Scotland does not currently hold funds or assets. Should the organization accept donations or grants in the future, it will establish clear financial protocols in accordance with Scottish law. We are committed to the absolute privacy of our supporters; their data is managed securely and will never be shared or sold. 

6. Dissolution 

Should SAFE Family Courts Scotland cease its operations, all digital assets, research papers, and data collected shall be transferred to a like-minded advocacy group or archived securely, ensuring the privacy of all contributors.
